Mindfulness meditation speak about “bringing up life” according to the expression of Antonin Artaud.

It is an experience to live, a warm moment that has to do with silence and deep listening. 

Mindfulness is a special way of paying attention to what is occurring in the present moment. This special mode of perception is non-judgmental, open-hearted, friendly and welcoming. And it is actually quite different from what we usually do. We usually see life through a screen of thoughts and concepts, and we take those mental objects for reality.

Through meditation, the meditator learns to wake up to what life really is and see reality exactly as it is.

Meditation helps everyone, in a very concrete way, to cultivate that quality of presence that can help to reconnect with the rhythm of the existence, to risk freedom and to experience the happiness to live more fully, with vibrancy and spontaneity.

No teacher, no guru, nobody can « meditate » you. It is a learnable skill, not magic but a practice so you must experience it within yourself. Over the centuries many extraordinary masters have described their experience of meditation. These are inspiring, but ultimately you have to pause and look deeply yourself and see its truths for yourself. The meaning of faith here is closer to confidence. It is knowing that something is true because you have seen it work, because you have observed that very thing within yourself. So learn to stop and see for yourself.
